E Math tuition at Beauty World

Sec 1 to Sec 4 Mathematics in classes of five, beside Beauty World MRT. Every line of working is marked the way an examiner marks it, so students learn where the marks are, not only the answers.

What we cover

The syllabus is organised in three strands. It also sets problems in real-world contexts, from household finance to reading distance-time graphs. We work one topic ahead of most schools, so lessons at school become revision.

Number and algebra

  • Numbers and their operations
  • Ratio and proportion
  • Percentage
  • Rate and speed
  • Algebraic expressions and formulae
  • Functions and graphs
  • Equations and inequalities
  • Set language and notation
  • Matrices

Geometry and measurement

  • Angles, triangles and polygons
  • Congruence and similarity
  • Properties of circles
  • Pythagoras’ theorem and trigonometry
  • Mensuration
  • Coordinate geometry
  • Vectors in two dimensions

Statistics and probability

  • Data handling and analysis
  • Probability

Where E Math marks go

E Math papers lean on longer, worded problems, where most of the marks go to setting the problem up and carrying the working through, not to the final number. In the 4052 exam, the last question on Paper 2 is about applying mathematics to a real-world scenario. A student who writes the right equation and slips on the arithmetic still collects most of the marks. We teach students to write the line each mark lives on.

How a lesson runs

01

Marked like an examiner

Homework comes back annotated against the mark scheme, M1, A1 and B1, so students learn where the marks live.

02

Five to a room

The tutor sees every line of working, in every lesson, for every student.

03

Timed from Term 2

Knowing a method and producing it in 90 seconds are different skills. We practise both.

Questions parents ask

Is E Math changing for the 2027 exams?

From 2027, Secondary 4 students sit the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) instead of the O-Level. Mathematics is examined at G3 under syllabus K310. Students sitting the exam in 2026 take O-Level syllabus 4052. What else changes with the SEC.

How is E Math different from A Math?

They are separate subjects with separate grades. E Math covers number, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics and probability. A Math goes further in algebra and trigonometry and adds calculus. A Math builds on E Math algebra, so gaps in E Math usually show up in A Math first.

Can my child join partway through the year?

Yes. Start with a trial class. We group students by level and by current working grade, not by school, and re-group at the end of each term if a student has moved ahead of or behind their group.

What happens in a trial class?

Your child joins a regular lesson at their level and works the same problems as everyone else. The tutor marks their working against the official scheme, and we go through it with you afterwards. There is no obligation to enrol.

What does a trial class cost?

The trial is a regular 2-hour lesson, and it is paid. Message us on WhatsApp for the current fee. There is no registration fee, and no obligation to enrol afterwards.

How do fees work?

Fees depend on the programme and are charged four weeks at a time. There is no registration fee or deposit. Missed lessons can be made up in another class of the same level within the term. Message us on WhatsApp for the current fee.
